Coolest beans!

I have my plane ticket now.

Hosted by SparkleTags.com

I leave from Denver on 9/14 at 10:35 am and head to Chicago (that toddling town, the City of the Big Shoulders - heh) and nothing gets off the plane there except me for a nice drinky winky at the bar. A Bloody Mary or a shot of Jameson’s should do me a world of good.

Then we take off at 4:13 (yeah - why don't they just say 4:15?) and jet over the pondy wondy to London where I arrive at 5:55 am (yuck). Alex says he will try to get there early and meet me but his original plans weren't to arrive there until later that afternoon (which is fine with me frankly as I have Lunesta and Valium to take while I am on the plane and I will most likely want to sleep for a bit at the hotel room I have reserved by Heathrow).

Then later that afternoon for sure, Alex (here he is the oh so delightful and funny Ruthven, an Italian gent whose English isn't nearly as bad as my Italian (non-existent 'cept for CIAO - loll!) ) - err....Alex arrives that afternoon and we are planning to go to dinner and see a garage band that Friday evening.

He was all like - I hope this is fun and I am like - DUDE - We are going to be in LONDON. To me just walking down the street to the shopette would be FUN! lol

I think we will have a blast and then of course Saturday I am thinking of heading to the hostel near to where the meet up is happening - but I am keeping my options open as per usual - and Saturday night in the jolly old town of London is the VR Meet up which we have been looking forward to for ages!

I am also attending the Sunday get together (if I am not totally hung over - I must remember to pace myself Saturday evening) and some concert thing too that mearhinas is arranging at the World's End. Sunday wrapped!

Monday am I am back at Heathrow to get on the little puddle jumper to take me to Glasgow at around 11:15 am. Then I get picked up at the airport by my oldest Internet friend with whom I have talked a zillion times, Scott (along with his wife, Jen) and they are housing me in Glasgow until they drive me to Aberdeen to my flat.

My address there is:

Flat G, Room 2

5 Elphinstone Road

Old Aberdeen, UK

AFX 34E (or something like that - not too sure of the ZIP code yet)

I am STOKED!

Scott's b'day is 9/25 so I will be there to celebrate that with him and since he is my padawan (yes, he seriously thinks of me as his "Qui-Gon Jinn" [hope I don't run into Darth Maul - lol]) we are going to teach Glasgow about the FORCE! heh heh heh!

I am so looking forward to this trip - I will miss my family here - but this is the opportunity of a lifetime and it couldn't happen to a more grateful and deserving insane person/surfer/hippie bitch! lol
